Mary is a Certified Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy & Continence working as a NSWOC educator with AHS Home Care Calgary Zone where she manages the skin and wound services in community care. Mary has extensive experience in the areas of ostomy, wound and continence care in acute and community settings. She received her diploma in Nursing from Foothills Hospital, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from the University of Alberta and Master’s in Nursing (MN) from the University of Calgary. Mary completed her Enterostomal Therapy Nurse education program through Albany, NY. Mary participates on various committees and in the development of education and guidelines related to skin integrity and wound management. Mary has participated on the expert panels and presented at conferences both nationally and internationally. Mary has held many leadership roles with Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy & Continence Canada (NSWOCC), including Professional Practice Group Coordinator, past president and is currently the Program Lead for the National Conference Planning Core Program.
