Lili Berescu (they/them)

BScN, RN, NSWOC, WOCC(C)

Harm Reduction Community of Practice Co-Chair

Lili has been a Consumption Treatment Service (CTS) nurse with Sanguen Health Centre in Kitchener since its opening in 2019. Lili started with SE Health Care in Waterloo Wellington as a WORN (Wound and Ostomy Resource Nurse), and now works as an NSWOC after CNA certification in 2022. They have also had the privilege of working with various community programs, such as the SOS outreach team, the Kitchener LHIN nursing clinic, the Region of Waterloo Public Health, and the Safer Supply program with Sanguen Health Centre. These experiences provided Lili with unique opportunities and insight that have helped them grow as both a nurse and a person. Their personal and work experiences grew their passion as a mental health and harm reduction advocate. Waterloo region is Lili’s home and they are incredibly honoured to be able to serve the people in their community. Acknowledging that their work and play in Waterloo Wellington takes place on the traditional land of the Haudenosaunee, Odawa, Petun, Anishinabe, Neutral, and Mississauga peoples, they work towards honouring the traditional teaching of the original peoples in protecting the earth, community, and preserving culture. Wherever Lili goes, their goal is to contribute to and promote spaces where people feel safe and heard.
