ISWAs, typically industry marketing and sales representatives, are trained to collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (NSWOCs) and Skin Wellness Associate Nurses (SWANs).

The program equips ISWAs with foundational knowledge in wound, ostomy, and continence care, along with advanced skills in ethical communication, building collaborative relationships, product positioning, and leadership. Graduates learn to view their product portfolios through a clinical lens, positioning their offerings to better meet the needs of healthcare professionals. Additionally, ISWAs develop a deep understanding of the Canadian wound, ostomy, and continence market, allowing them to navigate the healthcare system more effectively.
