Veronique has 30 years’ experience as a nurse and advocate in seniors’ care. Veronique’s academic career includes a 10-year CIHR/Schlegel Chair and she is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Waterloo. Her research includes evidence-based care for people with dementia and curriculum for gerontological education. She has published over 120 manuscripts, is lead author on the Canadian Gerontological Nursing textbook, has over a 100 invited academic lectures and sits on several national taskforces and Federal Councils. Her desire to investigate and educate others about the importance of exceptional health care for seniors continues to be her priority. She was recently named a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Nursing. Congratulations Veronique!
