Please join Dr. Alan Rogers for an in-depth presentation on the science and peer-reviewed evidence of Medical Grade Manuka Honey and its impact on wound healing.  Dr. Rogers will also discuss how Sunnybrook has integrated Medical Grade Manuka Honey into their treatment algorithm to optimize healing for patients with complex wounds.

Distinguished Speaker: 

Alan Rogers

FC Plast Surg, FACS, MSc 

Plastic Surgeon, Ross Tilley Burn Centre, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Toronto

Associate Professor of Surgery, University of Toronto

Dr. Rogers is a plastic surgeon at the Ross Tilley Burn Centre, Ontario’s regional burn centre and the largest in Canada. In addition to his major clinic focus in acute and reconstructive burn care, Dr. Rogers provides a unique consulting surgical service for Sunnybrook patients with stage four pressure injuries, necrotizing soft tissue infections, surgical wound complications, hidradenitis suppurativa and lower extremity vascular wounds. He holds a master’s degree in quality improvement and patient safety, is actively involved in surgical education through his affiliation with the University of Toronto, and regularly presents and publishes his work internationally.
