About the event

NSWOCC & WOC Institute Continuing Education Webinar: "Working together to prevent peristomal skin complications"

Objectives

To reflect upon your own practice

1. How do you determine a patient personalized proactive care pathway to prevent leakage?

2. How do you educate your patient to follow this proactive pathway to your patient?

3. How do you review your patient’s progress?

Presented by:

Moira Evans, Clinical Marketing Manager at Welland Medical Ltd, UK. Registered Nurse, Tissue Viability & Stoma care nurse

I qualified as a general nurse in 1992 and went onto specialize in both tissue viability and stoma care. I have been involved with both patient and specialist nurse studies since 2012, with particular interest in the clinical research into peristomal skin complications and the benefits of the Manuka honey hydrocolloid adhesive. Some of these studies have either been published or presented to nursing conferences around the world.
