Apply Now! WOC Institute Awards & Scholarships

Each year, graduates of the WOC-EP and/or SWAN Program may apply for awards and bursaries from the Wound, Ostomy & Continence Institute.


While presentations will be made at the annual WOC-EP Graduation Ceremony, you do not have to be present to receive your award/bursary. Please note that you can apply for multiple awards.

Molnlycke Health Care Indigenous Award

Objectives

To recognize:

  • Academic excellence in wound, ostomy and continence education

  • The vision of an Indigenous NSWOC or SWAN graduate that demonstrates how they will “give back” to their community.

Value: $5,250

Objective

  • To recognize volunteerism by an Indigenous NSWOC graduate that “gives back” to their community.

Nightingale Medical NSWOC Trailblazer Award


Value: $2,500.00


Objectives:

  • Provide financial support to a British Columbia based NSWOCC WOC-EP Graduate who has demonstrated leadership and innovation in wound, ostomy and continence care as an integral part of the healthcare team

  • Acknowledge the career contributions made by Gail Hawke as a “Trail Blazer” making a positive impact on NSWOC and the specialized care of wound, ostomy and continence patients

  • Motivate a British Columbian NSWOCC WOC-EP graduate to think outside of the box in creating new opportunities to build the profile of NSWOCs and NSWOC practice in order to support wound, ostomy and continence patients

  • To recognize volunteerism by an NSWOC that “gives back” to the ostomy community in the Vancouver, lower mainland or province of BC area.

Value: $1,000 per award


Objectives:

  • To motivate post secondary students to be informed about Ostomy Canada Society services and its support of people in Canada living with an ostomy.

  • To provide financial support to a postgraduate student

  • To encourage volunteerism and leadership that “gives back” to the ostomy community.
